In addition to the “Herzogstand” competition sauna, the thermal baths offer a lot of things worth seeing. The direct view of the surrounding Alpine panorama and the location on Lake Kochel make every visit a unique relaxation break. Our Herzogstand sauna is the venue for the event. The sauna has space for 300 guests and offers the ideal backdrop: a view of the lake and in the background you can see the Herzogstand - the “local mountain” in Kochel. The special feature of the sauna are the two illuminated ovens in the middle. The benches are positioned so that guests sit around the stoves and have a direct view of the sauna infusions, but also of the panorama in the background, which is made possible by the large window front. Top performers Unique Infusions Since 2017, we have been searching for the best freestyle infusion master in Europe at the "Masters Freestyle Aufguss." At the competition, held at the Kristall Therme Kochel am See, 20 stars of the infusion scene (ten women and ten men) compete for the coveted Kristall Trophy. Competition of Sauna Masters Spectacular waving techniques, dance choreographies, and a lot of passion for a unique infusion performance are always included. At the "Masters Freestyle Aufguss," the focus is not only on the competition but also on the development of techniques, learning from each other, and inspiration through exchange with other infusion masters. unlimited Creativity Each competition infusion lasts 15 minutes and consists of 4 rounds. In the first two rounds, each sauna master chooses a song to which both must perform. In the 3rd round, the two must cooperate. Before the infusion, they have some preparation time to choose a song together and create a choreography. The 4th round is the final battle: here, it’s all or nothing. Both must freestyle to music they do not know. Breathtaking acrobatics at over 80°C make the "Masters Freestyle Aufguss" a unique extreme sports event.

2. Modern Classic Segment (approx. 1 minute): Include about 1 minute of Modern Classic towel work, maintaining smooth transitions throughout the entire segment.

3. Large Towel Segment (45–60 seconds): A large towel must be used for 45 seconds to 1 minute. This part must include at least two openings and two closings.

4. Two-Towel Segment (approx. 45 seconds): Include a section using two towels, lasting approximately 45 seconds.

5. Professional Presentation: Please ensure that the location you choose for recording is appropriate and free from distractions. Top-quality video resolution is not required.

The application deadline is January 31st. You will receive feedback approximately two weeks after the application deadline.
Our jury will review all submitted videos and decide which participants qualify for the Masters Freestyle Aufguss 2026. The event will take place from March 18th to 21st, 2026 at the Kristall Therme Kochel am See.
